For some reason, April has been a really weird month for me for a really long time. Some of the worst things happened and worst decisions were made around this time and this is the first year I'm getting to live since realising this pattern. So I this time, I'm prepared. Weird introduction, but I wanted to put this thought out there in the void - you know that feelin'. So er.. here are some of the highlights and finds from this week!
This song.. is just incredible. I'm rather nuts about London Grammar right now and in an interview they mentioned The National, so naturally I had to look them up. You can definitely hear the influence on LG. I Need My Girl, is beautiful. This is songwriting. Definitely one of the best songs, I've ever heard.
Currently the world's biggest cliche, but when something is good, there's is a reason for it. One of my main reasons for loving Game of Thrones (other than the incredible storylines and engaging characters of course) is just the depth of the production, the thought that goes behind every line, set, costume, music - it's that sort of dedication that is so inspiring and awestriking (that's not a word is it? what word am I thinking of?!). I love going to the GoT channel after I've watched the episode to hear what the producers and behind the scene guys have to say. Fricken geniuses.
The main picture I snagged from tumblr is one of the thoughts that struck me this week. Okay, well not really, but this week I really realised how you choose what people are around you. And when they are just flat-out dickheads, leave them. When there's someone who doesn't just not help you grow, but could actually make you a bad person, go. And this week I decided that. It's definitely been one of a few endings, and hopefully some new beginnings around the corner. April's colours are showing and I am so ready this time (did I err.. say that already..? *sheepish grin*). Back to more consistent blogging next week!
